Sun Magick Ritual for Energy
Because it can be dangerous to look directly at the sun, catch your sunlight close to noon in a large crystal or water in a brass dish.
Inhale sunlight via the crystal or water with your eyes open. Hold the sun breath counting 'one and two and tree', then close your eyes and exhale darkness of your doubt, anger or lack of confidence.
Continue until you are filled with light and energy, then exhale a sun breath directing it toward someone who is exhausted, frightened or ill.
Inhale the Sun and again exhale it towards a person in need.
Rinse your face in the sun water, then tip the rest into the ground to energize a plant.
Whenever you feel tired, recall the Sun and inhale it's light in your mind's vision.
**Repeat Monthly ;) **

Caring For Your Crystals
Once you acquire your first crystal(s) you will need to clean and charge it to attune it to your personal vibrations and energies.
This involves cleansing it and charging it. It's best to cleanse and charge them periodically because the pick up both negative and positive energies. It is best not to let others handle your crystals once they are charged and cleansed because of this.
Ways To Cleanse:
There are numerous ways to cleanse your crystals. It's up to you decide how to do it.
1. Submerse in salt water. You can use Epsom salt or sea salt. Mix it with water and let your crystals soak for hours up to days. Let them dry in the sun (be mindful because some crystals fade in the sunlight. Do your research)
2. Hold them in flowing water such as: rivers, waterfalls, kitchen sink lol.
3. Hold crystals in smoke from certain incense. This is called smudging. You can hold it directly in the smoke or use a feather to fan the smoke over the crystals.
--Incense for smudging--
*Frankincense
*Myrrh
*Cedar
*Sage
*Sweet grass
4. Quartz clusters. You can set a crystal on a cluster or energizing crystals. A type of this I use is alabaster. It charges crystals and never has to be charged itself.
Charging your crystals:
1. Leave your crystals outside over night in the moon light. During a full moon this will both charge and cleanse. The moon's energies will attune the energies of the stone.
2. You can leave your crystals outside in the sunlight if you want to attune the sun's energies (Be mindful of the stones you leave outside. Some fade)
3. Bury your crystals in the earth for at least a week or so. This can cleanse and charge as well.
4. Reiki energy.
These are just some of the ways. You can do what's best for you. Remember that salt damages some crystals as does sunlight. Do your research before cleansing and charging.

Spring Equinox/Ostara/Eostre
Northern Hemisphere March 21st
Southern Hemisphere September 21st
Seasonal Relevancy
Spring has arrived and there’s an equal balance of light and dark. The flowers are all blooming again, the birds are nesting and getting ready for their young and all around, new life is bursting forth in a new generation of animals and plants.
Mythological Relevancy
This Sabbat is named after the Saxon Goddess Ostara and this festival specifically marks an equal balance between male and female energies which coincides perfectly with the fact that the days and nights are of equal length. Thus there is spiritual balance in all things. The young Oak King, who’s grown to a young man, now courts the maiden Goddess.
Popular Traditions
Eggs are symbolic of new life and Wiccans use painted eggs to celebrate the wonderful eruption of new life all around them. Throw hard boiled, painted eggs high into the sky and as you do make a wish for the summer months ahead. The higher the egg goes, the more likely your wish will come true. Bury the fallen eggs to cement your wish. Bake and eat Hot Cross Buns marked with an equilateral cross to symbolise all things equal.
A Contemporary Spring Equinox- Ostara Ritual
Hold the ritual in a park or open garden area. Decorate the altar with bright yellow daffodils and other spring flowers. Mark the perimeter of the circle with spring flowers.
On the altar have:
Yellow card cut into the shape of big sunflowers with petal sections that can eventually fold up so that the flower shape becomes a bowl (1 sunflower for each person present).
A pen for each person to use.
A pot of parrot or bird seed.
Cast the circle as normal if there are no visitors present, otherwise, omit the circle casting.
The ritual leader says to the group; “The Spring Equinox is a both a time of balance and a time of renewal. It is a time of balance because this event marks one of two points in the year when the days are the same length as the nights. Thus there is balance in light and darkness”.
“It is also a time of renewal and rebirth as Spring provides the warmth and light for new plants to grow, for young animals to grow healthy and fit, and for life to blossom around us. So as the caretakers of our precious planet and as the architects of our own life balance and renewal, we can use this time to refocus on those things that are important to us.”
Give each person a sunflower card and a pen saying; “Each of you now have before you a symbolic sunflower, one of the flowers that erupts at this time of year and grows toward full bloom in the Summer. Take a few moments now to consider what parts of your life are out of balance. Are you spending too much time and too much effort on one part of your life at the expense of other, equally or more important parts? Are you spending too much time on things and not on people? Do you use one set of behaviours instead of spreading your wings and trying better ways to cope? Are you ignoring parts of your life, parts of who you are when you should be balancing your life and being a whole person?”
“When you are ready, take your pen and write in the centre of your sunflower one way you will rebalance your life. Write down one behaviour or one aspect of your life you will change to bring your life back into balance”.
“Now take your sunflower and bend the petals up so that you form a bowl with your committed behaviour change written inside”.
When all participants have done this, have someone take the pot of bird seed and pour some seed into each of the sunflower bowls. The ritual leader then says; “Your commitments to rebalance your lives are now nestled beneath seed, which is the icon of new life, of rebirth and of renewal. Please take your sunflower bowls home. Each bowl signifies both life balance and rebirth. At home, place your bowl out in the garden to feed the local birds and to give to the Earth your commitment to rebalance your life.”
Consecrate and then have the cakes and ale, then close the circle. Follow up with a feast.
Ostara Ritual
Spreading the Energy of Spring
Supplies:
-basket
Any and all combinations of items below:
- fresh leaves, green grass, or other green plant matter (dry)
- fresh flowers
- hard-boiled eggs (colored or not)
- bottle of milk
- colorful ribbons
- stuffed animal or rabbit or other spring-time creature
Preparation:
Cleanse yourself and your space as you ready for ritual. Set up your altar in spring decor, foliage, pastels, flowers, eggs, animal statues, or any other decoration you may have. Place the empty basket in the center of your altar. Set out all your other supplies around your basket. Set your pen and paper near you so you can reach it.
Basket of Eostre
Stand before your altar and take a deep breath. If possible, have a window open to have the fresh spring air. Imagine the goddess, Eostre, the goddess of spring and the namesake for the holiday of Easter. She is a deity of renewal and rebirth. Visualize her in the new spring landscape, surrounded by her creatures of growth. Her energy spreads through the land, awakening the sleeping plants. Surrounded by green and flowers, she warms every heart that comes upon her. Hold this visualization as you continue.
Before your altar, hold out your hands and think of all the things that spring brings. The items before you represent these things. Hold your hands towards them, palms facing them, and close your eyes. Hold your visualization of Eostre and remember all the animals, plants, and blessings of spring. Imagine all of this spring energy forming into a cloud just above your altar. It is the bright green of growth. Hold this visualization and say,
"Blessing of Eostre,
Blessing of green,
Blessing of new growth,
Blessing of Spring.
Blessing of green,
Blessing of new growth,
Blessing of Spring.
May we be renewed,
As we help to renew others,
Fulfill this awakening,
With the joy of the season!"
As we help to renew others,
Fulfill this awakening,
With the joy of the season!"
Say your private prayers after the above. When you are done, imagine the cloud above your altar slowly sinking and infusing the objects on your altar with its energy. It is calm, happy, and warm energy that brightens its surroundings.
"With the goddess' gift,
May we spread her mirth!
May we spread her mirth!
Blessings of Eostre,
Be with us!"
Be with us!"
Pile up all of the objects into the basket. Go outside. If you have a backyard go there, if not go about your neighborhood. Sprinkle the fresh flowers/grasses by your front door. As you do so say,
"Blessing of Eostre to you."
As you walk by a tree or shrub, get a strip of ribbon and tie it around a branch. As you do so say "Blessing of Eostre to you."
If you have hard boiled eggs, bury them at the foot of trees, bushes, or flowers. Add the blessing, "Blessing of Eostre to you."
If you have a bottle of milk, give some to your animals (not too much) and pour the rest onto the earth. Add the blessing, "Blessing of Eostre to you."
If you have the stuffed animal give it willingly to your children, niece, nephew, or grandchild. Add the blessing, "Blessing of Eostre to you."
With the items of spring out in the world, they radiate the warm and joyful energy of the goddess Eostre. Let fresh air into your home whenever possible and let natural light flood your home. Blessings on this Ostara!

Spell For Grounding Energy
When you are ungrounded it effects you emotionally and physically.
There are multiple ways to ground yourself from meditation to crystals.
This is a quick fix for me though I do suggest meditating as well.
What you need:
- A jar
- Soil
- Belief
Fill a jar up with soil from the ground. (I always leave something if I take from the Earth)
Chant:
Mother Earth, solid one. Kissed by wind, rain and sun. Bring stable balance unto me. As I will, so mote it be.
Keep the jar around you (purse, work, home etc..) and nervous energy will never be a problem.
Full Moon Release
Full Moon Release
With the full moon ahead, I thought this might be convenient.
The Full Moon is the most magickal time of the month. It's when the moon's energies are at it's fullest creating an abundance of positive energy.
What kind of things can you do during a full moon? I have a list!
Positive spells (usually achieve good results), Artistic projects, Love, Romance, Fertility, Psychic abilities, Making decisions, Healing, Guidance, Completion, Job/Career, Money, Divination, Blessings, Intuition, Wisdom
One thing I ALWAYS try to do is a full moon release. Through out the month we build up so much negativity. So many problems. How can you live a positive life full of negativity? You can't.
What you need:
-Fire safe bowls (seriously.. I just use glass ones from the dollar tree you can buy in a 3- pack lol)
-Paper/pen (Mine are already with my magickal tools/ supplies. I keep paper and pen with the intent of my magickal workings ONLY)
-Lighter/ matches/candle (I prefer a candle for this)
-POSITIVITY
I do mine during my ritual, so I already have my circle going. I just move my bowl and candle and paper in front of me. Sit down and breathe (I burn incense and sage so that usually calms me down a bit)
Think of all the negativity in your life. Get to the root of the cause. Write it down, imagine yourself pulling that root of negativity out of your life. (You may use a few slips of paper depending on what's going on at that point in your life)
Gather your paper(s) and read off the releases aloud. As you do this imagine all of your negativity/ problems. Burn the slips of paper one by one. Take a breath and let it out. As your paper burns, imagine the negativity disappearing. Let the paper burn in a bowl. Keep doing this until each one is burnt.
Take a deep breath and release it.
Can you feel the negativity leaving? Don't let it hold you down! To me, that feeling of not having all of that nastiness, is a feeling of freedom.

Altar Consecration Ritual
Once you have found that place, take a smudge wand of Sage, light it and begin to clear the air around the altar. Constantly, keep Love and Light in your consciousness. Now, move to the four elements and ask for their guiding presence. Use a compass if needed to find the proper directions on the Earth.
North = Earth
South = Fire
East = Air
West = Water
Around = Spirit
Place and light a candle at each of the four cardinal points in a circle around the altar. Start in the east (yellow), go to the south (red), the west (blue) and finally to the north (green).Ask for their blessings and honor their assistance. Next, begin to set up the altar, placing each item you wish on the altar gently and reverently. Use the Consecration Ritual if you need to consecrate any magical tools. You’ll know what those items are as time passes. The altar will change its appearance as the seasons change. On your altar can be anything you wish, anything! Some altars are outside, some are inside. Some are clean and orderly, while others are cluttered with anything and everything around them. Yet, you must keep this place of sacredness, honorable to the God and Goddess.
You may wish to use two 7 day candles to represent the ever presence of the God and Goddess in your life. Black for God, White for Goddess. Red of fire, incense for Air, small bowl of water for west, and something of the Earth for North. Once your altar is set up the way you want it, spend a few moments in quiet meditation thinking about what this altar means to you. Now, allow the altar to fill you with its magic and energy. Feel the magic around you. breathe in the Love and Light from the Lord and Lady. Visual yourself re-vitalized because of it’s presence. See yourself becoming more healthy, whole, and wise. Now, visualize healing for someone else, maybe someone you do not even know. Send them Love and Light.
When you are ready to end your dedication and consecration ritual, sound the bell once again, thanking all elements for their presence and assistance. Send them back to their humble abode harming none on their way. Now, thank the Lord and Lady for their presence in your life. Take a deep breath of the fresh magic around you and repeat:
As I will it, so mote it be!
