Cleansing, Consecrating and Charging Your Magickal Tools... The Three C's

Tools are all fun to have. There are many different things you can use as tools. However, let it be known that: YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING BUT INTENT! So don't worry if you don't have an athame, censer or whatever.

If you are blessed with tools, don't forget they need cleansed and charged as well.

x Cleansing x

Burn a cleansing incense stick (sage, etc..) and rub the object through the smoke.

Bury it in the Earth for a while or in a bowl of salt/dirt/cornmeal

Wave it over a white candle flame

Sweep away negativity with a besom

x Consecrating x

Simply say a prayer over it and dedicate the use of your tools to your Gods/Goddess

Annoint an object with any cleanse, charged and consecrated oils

Consecrate it with the elements in a ritual; Run it through incense smoke, sprinkle salt on it, pass it over a fire flame and sprinkle some water over it. *I use moon water*

x Charging x

Put the object under the sun all day. Charge it with solar power

Put the object out under the FULL moon all night. Charge it with lunar energy

Lay the item on a healthy crystal for a day (or a few) so it will absorb energy.

***Be cautious as to what items you put around fire and water. And what items might mess up in direct sunlight!!***

**After cleansing your tools, wrap them in black cotton fabric. Helps protect them from absorbing unintended energies while being stored.
